Canyon de Chelly 1Flying over the Canyon de Chelly National Monument near Chinle, AZ. Located on the Navajo Nation, this 84,000 acre National Monument is the site of over 4,000 years of human occupation. The residents lived in homes carved out the cliff face. This provided protection from the elements and other people.
